1 - 50 gram skein Sport Weight or
DK yarn Size 6 32” or 40” circular needle Gauge: Gauge is not important for these fingerless gloves, to get a different size change your needle to a 5 for a 7. Terms: Right Raised Increase: Insert right needle into the knit/purl stitch below the stitch on the left needle picking up the loop from underneath and knit/purl this loop. Left Raised Increase: Insert the left needle into the knit/purl stitch below the stitch on the right needle picking up the loop from underneath and knit/purl the loop. Stockinette Stitch: Knit every round when working in the round. FN: Front needle in the magic loop method. BN: Back needle in the magic loop method. Pattern: Cast on 40 sts. Slide stitches onto coil and divide, st. 20 on front needle and 20 on back needle, set to home position. Cuff: Work k2, p2 rib for 2 inches. Hand: Begin working stockinette stitch. Continue knitting every round until piece measures 5 inches from cast on. Thumb gusset: Rnd 2: FN and BN: Knit. Rnd 3: FN: Knit to marker, slip marker, right raised inc., knit to one st. before next marker, k1, left raised inc., slip marker, knit to end; BN: Knit. Rnd 4: FN and BN: Knit. Repeat rnds 3 and 4 until 13 sts between markers. (52 sts.) Next rnd: FN: k2, cast off 12 sts., knit to end removing second markers; BN: knit. (40 sts.) Work k2, p2 rib on remaining sts. for 8 rows. Cast off all sts. Weave in ends.
